Reclaiming a forgotten farm, growing Rouge de Bordeaux wheat - an heirloom wheat
Prized by French bakers since the 19th century, we grow Rouge de Bordeaux wheat for its flavor, health and sustainability.
At Monmouth Farm we are dedicated to creating a farm enterprise that is based on sound principles of regenerative agriculture, sustainability and soil health. We are constantly working to stay connected with our land, evaluating our growing practices that include diverse cover crops, interplanting, crop rotations and growing heirloom grains such as rouge de bordeaux wheat.
We grow Rouge de Bordeaux wheat: an heirloom hard red wheat variety, rooted in the traditions of French bakers.
We act as stewards of our land. We are on a journey to rebuild the health of our farm through regenerative agriculture. We put soil health first, using cover crops and sound management.
